Happy Birthday Papa

It took me a while to go through the Chicago pictures.  We went up there for Papa's 80th Birthday Party. It was great to stay at GiGi and Papa's and to see everyone!

So happy to talk to Daddy (he didn't get to go to the party)
I love you, cousin Nathan.
Momma, GiGi made me roll up pancakes!

Labor Day

We enjoyed our Labor Day weekend in Fort Lauderdale Florida.  We had a nice time and needed the little get-away.   Auntie Courtney and Uncle Clay met Papa and us in Florida.  On our way back we were able to see Boppa, Memaw, Auntie Becky and Uncle Matt, and Auntie Jammie and "Carcar" at Baskin Robbins (a long [but short] layover).

What a family weekend!

Emmy is into "If your happy and you know it..."  This is the part "and your face will surely show it" and she twists her fingers by her cheek.  ADORABLE!
Momma and Emmy being silly.
Cheese!  Enjoying a long thunderstorm under the tiki hut.
Playing with my hat.
What nap?!?!?!

But Mom, I don't want to look like a bug with two antlers.
I LOVE to read my dog book on the plane.  The dogs make me so happy.

Daddy and Emmy in agua.
I like to play in the sand, but I don't like my toes in the sand.

Our House

We have been working on a few remodeling projects around the house.  So far, we replaced the bedroom carpet (& painted), living room & front bedroom (floors and paint).  Projects remaining: baseboards, Emmy's floor and painting the kitchen.

Taking a break on the back porch.

Monitoring the projects.

Helping Daddy finish front room.
Emmy's project: fill pots with dirt (Auntie Courtney's idea)!
Oh, I want the carpet back (really, its just I want Momma).
Starting the living room.
I take my safety seriously!
Momma, I will help you paint.
Not all work, some play.
I can build things too!
