Happy Birthday MeMaw and Grandpa Wilson

It has been a while since our last post. School started this week and I have a huge project I am working on that is behind deadline...so no fun on the computer was allowed. MeMaw's birthday is on Tuesday and we knew all she wanted for her birthday was a picture of Emmy, so here are a few. Also, since my phone has been out of commission, some of you have been missing those as well. I should have a new phone on Tuesday (I was crossing my fingers it would be delivered on Friday, but it wasn't on the porch), but I will have to input everyone's phone numbers...

She's into the tounge thing...wanna bet on when we will see her first tooth?

She ate her first teething biscuit. Well, really Disney ended up eating most of it, but she enjoyed snacking while we were sitting on the back porch.

Emmy had a fund time at Miss Hannah's first Birthday party.

So sleepy after a long day at school.

The dogs must have walked by and taken her attention away from the toys!

Knock on wood, she is still such a good sleeper. She sleeps with her seahorse, butter fly and 2 blankie animals. She plays with them in the morning until I go get her.

These two pictures crack me up. We moved the bassinet to the office when Miss Charlotte visited. It is funny to go back and look at the pictures of tiny Emmy in the bassinet.


Uh-oh, she is giving me her serious face. I really must have interrupted her and Daddy!

Lost Cell Phone

Yes, it is the start of school and my brain is a little rattled, but I believe I have definitely lost my cell phone :( We are going to work on replacing it this weekend. I'm not ignoring you if you've called (& yes, I tried to call it to "hear" where it was, but it went straight to voice mail.)

Leaking Diapers

Honestly, we have been having a problem with the cloth diapers leaking. Look at what I just found:
"Free and Clear": We get calls daily about leaking cloth diapers (especially pocket diapers and all in ones), and the Free and Clear detergents listed below are the culprits 99% of the time. Free and Clear detergents contain microbiostats, which control the growth of microorganisms, such as dust mites. This is beneficial to those with allergies, but may be the common ingredient that causes the fleece in your pocket diapers to repel. Now, many parents use Free and Clear detergents with great success (it really depends on your local water mineral content and washer), but if you begin to have leaks or smells after a few weeks or months, try stripping your diapers and then switching detergents.

Well, I thought we just needed to change Emmy more often. It looks like I need to "strip" and change detergents!

Still Sleeping?

I can't believe it, it is 9:20 and Emmy is still sleeping! I think she is going through a growth spurt...we will find out this afternoon at her doctors appointment. She is a good sleeper and does really well when alarms, showers, etc. aren't going off around her. However, I was happy this weekend with 8-8:30.

Hopefully she will do OK with her shots today and I can post her stats!

Our Weekend

Emily, Ross and Charlotte were able to visit us on Friday night/Sat morning and we had such a good time. It was hard to get a good picture of the girls since Emmy just wants to pull on Charlotte, but this one is really cute since their hands look almost the same!


James took this picture of Emmy on Sunday while they were playing (or watching baseball/Olympics) in the office. She loves baseball!

Happy 6 months, Emmy

It is hard to believe that Emmy is 1/2 year old today!
She loves animals - especially dogs.
She is sitting up by her self.
She likes to roll over front to back, but doesn't want to roll back to front.
She can stand with support of one hand.
She is talkative.
She likes mirrors and pictures of herself!
She likes food: so far, cereal, sweet potatoes, peas, carrots and bananas.
She likes to sleep at night :).
She is talkative and giggly.
