Home Safe and Sound & School Started Today

We had a wonderful time in New York and Pennsylvania. We did SO MUCH, so it wasn't that relaxing of a trip. Emmy can officially say she visited Yankee & Shea Stadium before they closed down. She loved the buzz of the city, she was so engaged in everything going on around her. Her Daddy and her were able to visit with Aunt Courtney and also went to Valley Forge while Momma was working. Last night was a LOOONNNGGG night. We didn't get home until 2:30 am. Flights were delayed due to morning and afternoon storms. She was an angel on all of her plane rides.

Emmy started school today! She was smiling when I dropped her off, and I called to "check in" and it was a good report.

Pictures to come, but patience is necessary. I am stressing about catching up after being gone now that I am officially "back" to work :( .

Happy Birthday Papa Dubuisson and Emmy!

Happy 55th Birthday, Jimmy! (Sunday, 6th)
Happy 5 month Birthday, Emmy! (Monday, 7th)

Hanging out on the back porch!
Daisy was just so cute!
I seeeee you!

Ha, silly momma...

Here's my funny face again.

Happy 4th of July

Ok, where are the fireworks?
It isn't a holiday without a good nap!

Here is my newest funny face...

Happy 4th!
I can't have BBQ but these peas are yummy!

For the 4th of July we stayed at home in Kyle. Mary and Jimmy came up to celebrate the 4th and Jimmy's & James' birthdays. James spent the day smoking a brisket and ribs that turned out really good! Emmy went to bed at 8, but we were able to go out in our front yard to see the City of Kyle fireworks!

We've been busy!

I can't believe that it has been a week since our last blog. We have been quite busy. Actually, at the end of last week, I had a meeting in Houston. A huge thanks to Aunt Katie and her little helpers (Maggie and Gracie) for babysitting Miss Emmy. I know she had a great time.

In the mean time, we have been eating more solid foods! Over a week ago we started sweet potatoes and then just yesterday we added peas. She smiles for them both! Stay tuned for the next "solid" introduction!

I ordered a second round of cloth diapers tonight. We ended up with 6 Thirsties "All in One" but sized diapers and 6 Happy Heiny's that have an insert but are a one size fit all. There were different qualities in each one that I liked. We are good up to about twenty pounds, then we will either try a new brand or order more Thirsties. Plus, we have the ones from the sampler pack.

Emmy's high chair arrived and I am so happy with it. I built it this weekend and Emmy has sat in it with us at dinner the last two nights. I will post a picture soon.

Other than that, we are awaiting the arrival of Carter. He will be here soon. We are keeping the next two weekends open just in case he decides to join us at any moment!

The first try of sweet potato. Do you see her holding the spoon herself?

Sweet potato try #2 (and it wasn't Valentine's Day).

Maggie eager and ready to help watch Emmy.

Gracie is wondering how long this baby is going to be here to steal her show.Because we were in Houston, we were able to meet Emily for lunch. We were so excited to meet tiny Miss Charlotte!
There is an adorable little smile behind those hands, can't you just see it in her eyes!

Emmy thinks it is really time to cut this swaddling thing out...to prove it Houdini will pull herself out of her swaddle and jammies.

Bad Daddy, Good Daddy. Bad Daddy let Emmy get sunburned. Good Daddy took Emmy fishing, which she loves. Mommy got to sleep in on Saturday & Sunday because Emmy and Daddy were at the neighborhood lake. Next time, WE KNOW, sunscreen (even though the bottle and Dr. say not to use until 6 mo., no lecture needed!)

A new veggie...I like peas!

Mommy has learned to feed me in just a bib and diaper.

Time to go to sleep now!!
