We're back!

Emmy did VERY well on her first plane ride(s). The trip up to Pennsylvania went as smooth as possible. Although she fussed a little, she never even cried! The ride home, she did cry a little, but not too much. Everyone complimented how good she was.

Emmy had a great time with her Aunt Courtney and I enjoyed the evenings with them. I appreciate Courtney driving to watch her while I was in my meetings. I didn't do a good job taking pictures, but Courtney took plenty of Emmy while she was up there. Hopefully she got a picture of Emmy and her Uncle Clay. She met Uncle Clay when he drove from NJ to visit on Saturday.

Here is a picture of her sleeping on the plane. It isn't the best pictures, but good memories!

First Plane Ride

Emmy will be taking her first plane ride tomorrow morning. We are going to PA to visit Aunt Courtney (& for a work meeting). Keep your fingers crossed that all goes well and that Emmy's ears don't hurt too bad.

Meeting GiGi and PaPa

Emmy was finally able to meet her Great Grandparents on my side.

We had a good trip up to Fort Worth for my sister's wedding. It was at the Fort Worth Botanical Gardens. It was a georgeous day, and I even got a little sun burnt. More pictures from the wedding to come.

Trip to College Station

Here are a few pictures from our trip to College Station a few weeks ago. We went for a shower for Emily and Baby Girl Gunnels, but we were also able to visit Ms. Janice! Unfortunately we weren't able to visit the Hickmans...hopefully next time.

Home after a busy road trip.

This isn't on our road trip to CS, but it is a picture of Emmy in the jogger. With the rolled up towels to hold her head stable, she is quite cozy. So far she has enjoyed all of her jogs. I can't wait for school to finish and then I can really get into the swing of things.

Ft Worth

Emmy and I went up to Fort Worth on Wednesday morning after her 2 month Dr. visit. We were up there for a conference and we left on Saturday. We will be returning on Friday for Jammie's wedding. I don't know if I will update pictures this week, but know that bunches are coming!

An Update

Things have been a little crazy. I am back to teaching classes, so I was up and at class (with Emmy) at 8:00 am this morning. We were in Laredo this weekend and didn't get home until late last night, so I am exhausted. I just finished my night class (a little early).

Emmy
Last night she slept in her crib in her room for the first time last night. She went down no problem, not a surprise given that her naps and "changes" happen in her room. She was her typical good sleeper self, and I was able to get myself ready before she woke up. I figured out that our alarms and movement was causing her to wake earlier which is why I put her down in her crib last night.
She is also growing. I am not confident in her weight, but a lot of her newborn clothes are being put aside because the don't fit. She goes for her 2 month appt. next week and I will give you the "growth" stats then.

Work
Like I said, I am back in class, officially. I taught about health media literacy and advocacy tonight. You have to visit this public service announcement-it keeps getting funnier and funnier to me:

Baseball
Baseball has officially started. Last year, I played fantasy baseball with a league. We are playing again and we drafted our teams on Sunday. Keep an eye on Upton, Figgins and Byrne. They are my picks that I think are going to carry me...we will see. This week my team (K's Homerun Hitters) is playing my brother-in-law's (Clay) team. I will report.

Time to get home and get to bed...Have a great day.
