A note from Emmy's teacher: 

"SHE IS REALLY CHANGING, SHE DOESNT SIT BACK AND WATCH AS MUCH & SHE'S LOUD NOW!  SHE GETS MORE INVOLVED AND ACTUALLY TAKES TOYS AWAY FROM THE OTHER CHILDREN IF THEY GET WHAT SHE HAD FIRST.  I'VE ALSO NOTICED THAT SHE IS STARTING TO PLAY CHASE AND PEEK A BOO WITH HER LITTLE CLASSMATES!  THEY ARE SO MUCH FUN TO WATCH GROW!"

Vacation!

We had our own little secluded beach that you can see in the background.  We spent 1 entire day out there and two other little trips.  Emmy didn't like the sand (like her Daddy) and was scared of the waves.

This is on the ferry ride out to the beach.

Momma had some spa time (yeah!) and Emmy and Daddy hung out at the pool (and yes, the pool swim-up bar).

Nap time.  This was her second nap on this day.  She did great napping in her tent and on the beach chairs.

Daddy went fishing and caught this sail fish.  Since it isn't "good eatin'" the fisherman were going to donate his fish to poor people who will eat it.  The other fish is a dolphin fish, or mahi-mahi, caught by Ross (a fellow fisherman).  He iced it up and took it home with him.

Daddy got the Tooth

You have to look at the Halloween Pictures first, she was so happy - must have thought she was going to get some candy!

OK, it is her "left, bottom" tooth, so on the picture look on the right.  If you look hard you can see it, but I promise it is there!

NOT A LONGHORN...

I guess I am going to have to take NEW Aggie pictures and post them. For the Cow Lovers, this costume was labeled as a Holestein (sp?) Cow...which is supposed to be black and white.

I guess next year we will have to look for a Collie costume, so she gets back to her roots!

Happy Halloween

MOOOO....Happy Halloween! No, I don't have a tooth picture yet (the tooth is still very little).

Tooth!

The first tooth broke through last week! I will continue to "try" for a picture, but her tongue is amazing and is constantly covering it up.

Along with the tooth, came an ear infection, eye infection and major amounts of snot. She has been a complete doll through it all. She fights - arms all over the place - the eye drops. Thank goodness we only have to put them in "as needed." She takes the antibiotics, no problem! Although, we are 5 days in and she is growing tired of them. This morning I was a sneaky Momma and mixed it in with her cereal. All gone, no problem and no "yucky face."

Disney update

I keep forgetting to update on Disney's ear. We are almost all healed. We kept up with the steroids to bring down the inflamation of the hematoma. It is almost gone, and I can feel the tissue, but you can't see it. Her infection is healed, I think, so now I need to keep her ears clean!

So, she is the same goofy dog and now with a goofy ear!

Yea Grandma

Emmy spent the last three days with Grandma Dubuisson. MeMaw Wilson is coming tomorrow. SO, she is going to be one SPOILED girl!

I was in KS for work and the daycare is closed on Monday...hence all the Grandmas' visits.

We have been doing well. Stuff on Emmy:
1. Mobile...we are no longer able to leave her on a raised piece of furniture and we have protected our outlets. She isn't "technically" crawling, but she is pulling herself forward, turning circles, etc.
2. Still no teeth, but I expect to see one soon.
3. Eating...we are making her food still and she loves everything. We are adding spices (cinnamon and ginger so far!). She is able to put bread pieces in her mouth.
4. Cloth diapers, yep, we are still using them!
5. Sleep. We are all getting plenty - knock on wood.
6. Chatterbox - not sure if the da, da, da is Daddy, Daisy, Disney or Dogs, but they all make her smile and laugh.

Other than that, she is absoutely adorable.
